The CATI system represents a rigorous, fast and relatively un-expensive method (compared to the PAPI method) of enquiry data collection, based on a standardized questionnaire, applied by telephone to the aleatory selected persons, by RDD (random digit dialing) procedure.

The soft specialized by CATI insures:
- edit and administration of questionnaire;
- issuance of sample;
- permanent monitoring of the interview operators activity.
The CATI collection method presents the advantage of fast and relatively un-expensive measurement of the attitudes and perceptions by the interview operators, purposely trained and the advantage of insertion of stimuli audio in the questionnaire (especially for testing of musical works, of audio clips or speaker’s voices).
